Paver Calculator

Estimate paver count from surface size and individual paver dimensions.

Pattern and cuts

Running bond, herringbone, borders and curves can increase cuts and breakage. Include base, bedding sand and edge restraint separately.

Example

A 12 ft by 10 ft area is 120 square feet. An 8 in by 4 in paver covers about 0.222 square feet, so the base count is about 540 pavers before waste.

Before buying

Check whether the manufacturer lists coverage by paver, by bundle or by pallet. Curves, borders and diagonal patterns usually need a larger waste allowance.

Limitations

This estimate does not include gravel base, bedding sand, edge restraints, compaction, slope, drainage or installation losses beyond the waste percentage entered.
