Fence estimate caveats
Material, terrain, corners, removals, gates, post depth and local rules can change real cost. Post count is a rough planning aid and should be checked against the actual layout.
Example
A 120-unit fence at 35 per unit costs 4,200 for the fence line. Two gates at 250 each add 500 before permits or extras.
Common mistakes
Do not forget corners, end posts, slopes, removals, staining, hardware and property-line checks. Gates often cost more than the equivalent straight fence length.
Limitations
This is a planning estimate only. It does not replace contractor quotes, permit requirements, engineering, survey work or local rules.
