Useful for pacing and timing
Minute-to-second conversion is useful for workouts, cooking timers, media duration, lab timing and any workflow that mixes decimal minutes with second-based tools.
Example
12.5 minutes equals 12.5 x 60 = 750 seconds. It is also 0.2083 hours.
Common mistakes
Decimal minutes are not the same as minutes and seconds. 12.5 minutes means 12 minutes 30 seconds, not 12 minutes 5 seconds.
Limitations
This is a simple duration conversion. It does not handle clock times, time zones or calendar dates.
