How to use the pace result
Pace is useful for race planning and comparing runs across distances. Terrain, stops, weather and elevation can make a simple average pace less representative of effort.
Example
A 50:00 finish over 10 km gives an average pace of 5:00 per km. The same effort is about 8:03 per mile.
Common mistakes
Do not mix elapsed time and moving time unless that is intentional. Stops, GPS pauses and treadmill calibration can change the result.
Limitations
This is not coaching or medical advice. Pace does not measure heat stress, elevation, wind, surface conditions or training readiness.
