International scheduling

Holiday Difference Between Countries Calculator

Compare public holidays in two countries for one year. Use it to plan cross-border meetings, customer support coverage, release dates and shared closure periods.

The comparison uses national/global holidays only. Regional holidays can differ within both countries.

Best used for

  • International teamsSee which dates may reduce availability in one country but not another.
  • Customer support coveragePlan handoffs when one market is closed and another is open.
  • Launch and meeting datesAvoid choosing dates that are public holidays in important operating countries.

Formula and method

The calculator fetches public holidays for both countries from Nager.Date and compares holiday dates. Status is marked as A only, B only or Both. A same-date match does not necessarily mean the holiday has the same local meaning.

Example

If both countries have a public holiday on January 1, it appears as Both. If one country has a national holiday on May 17 and the other does not, that date appears as country-only for scheduling purposes.

Limitations

Holiday data is fetched from Nager.Date. This tool compares dates, not legal meaning, payroll treatment or local business practice. Regional holidays may differ, and official HR/legal decisions should verify source data with local authorities.
