Formula and method

Working days until target = counted dates between start and target minus weekends and selected public holidays. The start date is treated as day zero; the target date can be included or excluded.

Example

If a target is 30 calendar days away, but the counted period contains 8 weekend dates and 1 weekday public holiday, the working-day countdown is 21 when both weekends and holidays are excluded.

Limitations

Holiday data is fetched from Nager.Date. This is a planning countdown, not legal advice. It does not include school holidays, company closures, every bank-only holiday, HR policy, payroll cutoff or jurisdiction-specific deadline rules.
