Time conversion

Time Zone Calculator

Convert a clock time between two UTC offsets.

Offsets are not full time zones

UTC offsets are useful for rough conversions, but named time zones handle daylight saving time and historical rule changes. Use named-zone calendar tools for important meetings.

Example

If it is 14:00 at UTC+1 and you convert to UTC-5, the target time is 08:00 on the same date because the target offset is 6 hours behind.

Common mistakes

Do not assume a city always has the same offset all year. Many places change offset during daylight-saving periods, and some regions use half-hour or quarter-hour offsets.

Limitations

This calculator uses numeric UTC offsets only. It does not look up named time zones, local holidays, daylight-saving rules or historical clock changes.
