Age bands change the comparison
Income usually changes across career stages. Compare against the same age band, year, country and income definition for a meaningful result.
Example
If your income is 70,000 and the benchmark table says p75 is 70,000 for your age group, the calculator places you near the 75th percentile for that table.
Common mistakes
Do not compare individual income with household-income benchmarks unless that is the exact definition you want. Also avoid mixing before-tax and after-tax figures.
Limitations
This calculator does not include a live official dataset. The estimate is only as good as the benchmark values you enter.
