Timesheet caveat
This calculator uses simple clock time. Payroll systems may round punches, apply overtime rules, split shifts across dates or handle paid breaks differently.
Example
From 09:00 to 17:30 is 8 hours 30 minutes. Subtracting a 30-minute break gives 8 net hours.
Common mistakes
Check the next-day box for overnight shifts. Also confirm whether breaks are paid or unpaid before using the result for timesheets.
Limitations
This calculator does not apply employment law, shift premiums, overtime rules, payroll rounding or time-zone changes.
