Use consistent inputs
For a clean conversion, fill either feet/inches or centimeters and read the corresponding output. Height can be measured differently depending on posture and time of day.
Example
5 feet 9 inches is 69 total inches. Since 1 inch is 2.54 cm, that equals about 175.3 cm.
Common mistakes
Do not enter 5.9 feet to mean 5 feet 9 inches. 5.9 feet is 5 feet plus 0.9 feet, which is 10.8 inches.
