How to read the result
Decimals between 0 and 1 become percentages below 100%. Decimals greater than 1 become percentages above 100%, which is common when comparing growth, ratios or values larger than the original whole.
Common mistakes
Do not add a percent sign without multiplying by 100. The decimal 0.5 equals 50%, not 0.5%.
