Pattern repeat matters
Large pattern repeats, matching across drops, windows, doors and mistakes can increase waste beyond a simple area estimate.
Example
For 320 square feet of wall area, 56 square feet per roll and 15% waste, the adjusted area is 368 square feet. 368 / 56 rounds up to 7 rolls.
Before buying
Check whether your wallpaper is sold as single rolls, double rolls or by metric roll length. If color matching matters, buy rolls from the same batch or dye lot.
Limitations
This calculator does not subtract every window or door automatically and does not optimize drop layout for patterned wallpaper.
