BMI category caveat
The BMI 25 threshold is a population screening category. It does not diagnose health, body fat percentage or metabolic risk for an individual.
Example
At 175 cm and 82 kg, BMI is about 26.8, which is above the adult BMI 25 screening threshold. At the same height, BMI 25 corresponds to about 76.6 kg.
How to interpret it
Use the result as a screening signal, not a personal diagnosis. Age, sex, ethnicity, muscle mass, pregnancy and health history can all change how BMI should be interpreted.
Limitations
This calculator is for general adult screening only and is not suitable for children, pregnancy or clinical assessment. Discuss health concerns with a qualified professional.
