Weather comfort

Dew Point Calculator

Estimate the temperature where air becomes saturated with moisture.

Why dew point is useful

Dew point is often more useful than relative humidity for comfort because it expresses actual moisture content. Higher dew points generally feel more humid.

Example

At 25 C and 60% relative humidity, the dew point is about 16.7 C using the Magnus approximation.

Common mistakes

Relative humidity changes with temperature. Two days with the same relative humidity can feel different if their dew points are different.

Limitations

This is an approximation for ordinary weather and comfort use. It is not a substitute for calibrated meteorological, HVAC or industrial humidity measurement.
